We're committed to educating, empowering, and activating the most important voices: yours. Here’s your voting checklist.

No matter who you vote for or why, voting is your way to get your voice heard. It’s a civic duty, a right, a privilege, and a beautiful thing—and at the end of the day, it’s an action. We don’t just want to celebrate the power of every vote—we want to empower every voter to take action.

But we also understand that in our new COVID-19 reality, voting is going to look—and feel— different. The voter turnout for the 2016 U.S. election was 61%; we don’t need anything else getting in the way as we shape our future. To make sure you are registered and to make your plan to vote, head to iamavoter.com or text VOTER to 26797. You can also sign up for important election updates, learn about local volunteer opportunities, and get reminders that will help you vote with confidence in upcoming elections.

Want to get your voice heard? Make a plan. Here’s your Voting Checklist:

STEP ONE: CONFIRM YOU ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE.

Get registered to vote. We’re serious. You need to be registered if you want to vote and get your voice heard. Become a registered voter now. Not sure if you’re already registered? Check here.

STEP TWO: CHECK FOR EARLY VOTING.

In most states, eligible voters can cast a ballot before Election Day either in-person during the early voting period, by mail, or via an absentee ballot.

STEP THREE: KNOW WHERE YOU CAN VOTE IN YOUR DISTRICT.

Head to iamavoter.com to find detailed information on voting in your state.

STEP FOUR: CHECK POLL TIMES.

STEP FIVE: MARK YOUR CALENDARS—9/22 & 9/24—AND R.S.V.P.

Stay tuned for the launch of the new Detrola on National Voter Registration Day on September 22nd. Then, make sure you register to attend the exclusive event hosted by Shinola, featuring host and brand ambassador Natasha T. Miller and special guests:

— Shannon Washburn, Shinola CEO

— Mandana Dayani, Co-founder of I am a voter.®

— Arn Tellem, Detroit Pistons Vice Chairman and driving force behind Get in the Game. Vote.

— Rick Mahorn, Detroit Pistons 18-Season Veteran and radio analyst

Plus, a special video appearance by Anthony Mackie, the actor, producer, and co-founder of IAmAMan.vote. It's all happening on Thursday, September 24th at 5:00pm EST—register now.
